Softball Recap: North Salem Comes Up Short

Sprague hit North Salem with a seven-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings came up short against the Olympians, falling 16-1. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Olympians from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

North Salem has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Sprague, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-14 record this season.

North Salem will square off against Parkrose at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sprague has already played their next contest (against Hillsboro), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
