After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wayne County, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Clarksburg Rockets as the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers made off with a 17-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Clarksburg, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central will head out on the road to face off against Westview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarksburg, they will square off against Perry County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Clarksburg has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
