Basketball Recap: Chaffey Falls Short of Chino in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Chaffey couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 66-51 to the Chino Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, with their most recent defeat being a 61-43 loss back in January.

It was another big night for Shawn Jamison Jr, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards for Chino. Jamison Jr's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Dario Shields, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Chaffey's defeat dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Chino, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Chaffey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chino, they will face off against California at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Chino's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 games.
