Basketball Recap: Cony Comes Up Short

Cony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 70-67 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oxford Hills Vikings. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (65), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Cony's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Oxford Hills, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cony will head out to take on Messalonskee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oxford Hills, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lewiston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
