Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Badgers vs. Hebbronville Longhorns

Bishop is 9-0 against Hebbronville since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bishop Badgers will challenge the Hebbronville Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. Bishop knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Hebbronville likes a good challenge.

Bishop is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 90-83 victory over San Diego on Tuesday.

Kristian Ramos continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 44 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was his 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Garcia, who posted 17 points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Meanwhile, Hebbronville lost 73-48 to Santa Gertrudis Academy on Tuesday. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-12. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.0 points per game. As for Hebbronville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-18.

Everything came up roses for Bishop against Hebbronville in their previous meeting on January 7th, as the squad secured an 80-38 victory. In that game, Bishop amassed a halftime lead of 42-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
