Baseball Recap: Falls City Finds Playoff Glory Versus Ben Bolt

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Falls City walked away with it. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Ben Bolt Badgers on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on Thursday.

Luke Morawietz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on two hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Tanner Krawietz was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Daylen Kowalik, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Falls City is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ben Bolt, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

As of now, neither Falls City nor the Badgers have any future games scheduled.
