Soccer Recap: Lanier Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Lanier after they claimed the first goal on Saturday, however, they wouldn't score again. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 3-1 defeat to the Jay Mustangs. The loss was the Voks' first of the season.

Lanier's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Jay, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Lanier has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Martin on the 10th. As for Jay, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against McCollum on the 7th.
