Baseball Recap: Sparta Comes Up Short

Sparta lost against Red Bud back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Musketeers, falling 11-3. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braden Reinhardt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Sparta's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 6-11 when he doesn't).

Sparta's record is now 9-12. As for Red Bud, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Sparta will challenge Steeleville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Red Bud will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' match: after the Bulldogs face off against the Warriors, they'll take on Red Bud again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
