Softball Recap: McCamey Takes a Loss

McCamey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 25-0 to the Forsan Buffaloes. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Badgers were not able to get on the board.

McCamey saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Memphys Shumake, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Arissa Moss also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

McCamey's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Forsan, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McCamey will challenge Ozona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ozona has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.4 runs per game on average), something McCamey will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Forsan, they will take on Van Horn at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Van Horn has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18 runs per game on average), something Forsan will no doubt try to take advantage of.
