Softball Game Preview: San Diego Academy Cavaliers vs. Bayfront Charter Sharks

The San Diego Academy Cavaliers will head out on the road to take on the Bayfront Charter Sharks at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. San Diego Academy has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 1.

San Diego Academy came up short against Chula Vista Learning Community Charter on Tuesday, falling 23-7.

Liberty Charter hit Bayfront Charter with a five-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Sharks lost 11-1 to the Lions. Sharks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Lions since on Tuesday.

Bayfront Charter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriella Loera, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Another was Anahi Del Rosario, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

The defeat snapped Bayfront Charter's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-16 record. As for San Diego Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

San Diego Academy might still be hurting after the 20-1 defeat they got from Bayfront Charter in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
