Softball Recap: Artesia Finds Home Field Redemption Against Burbank

There's no place like home for Artesia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Burbank Bulldogs on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pioneers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Kaleyse Foster, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Artesia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .522. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Artesia now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Burbank, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-1 record this season.

Artesia has already played their next contest, a 10-7 loss against Katella on the 21st. As for Burbank, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Maranatha at 3:45 p.m. on the 31st.
