Football Recap: Hamilton Bobcats vs. California Military Institute Rough Riders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Desert Christian Academy, Hamilton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the California Military Institute Rough Riders with points to spare, taking the game 31-14. The Bobcats pushed the score to 24-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rough Riders cut but never quite recovered from.
Hamilton found their leader in sophomore Jerimi Brown, who picked up 84 receiving yards and two TDs.
Hamilton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 214 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Hamilton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Joey Rayas, Jaden Garcia, and Novel Calloway picked up one apiece. Calloway also made six total tackles, which is notable because Hamilton is 2-1 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-5 otherwise.
Despite the loss, California Military Institute saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Miguel Vega picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 74 yards.
