Soccer Game Preview: Wallace-Rose Hill vs. East Duplin

Wallace-Rose Hill hasn't had much luck against East Duplin recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wallace-Rose Hill had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt North Lenoir on Tuesday. The Bulldogs never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Wallace-Rose Hill haven't had any issues with North Lenoir recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, East Duplin was able to grind out a solid victory over South Lenoir on Friday, taking the game 2-0.

Anastan Holley and Ana Marie Rodriguez scored both of the Panthers' goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

The win got East Duplin back to even at 7-7-2. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Wallace-Rose Hill might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from East Duplin in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
