Baseball Recap: Michael Heikkila Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Sparks

Lowry's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sparks Railroaders a 13-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Buckaroos in their matchups with the Railroaders: they've now won nine in a row.

Lowry got a massive performance out of Michael Heikkila, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Connor Peterson, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Lowry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sparks only posted a batting average of .062.
