Volleyball Recap: Brenna Walsh Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Hamilton

Corona del Sol had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Hamilton Huskies on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Aztecs haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Corona del Sol not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hamilton between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-20.

Corona del Sol's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brenna Walsh, who had 16 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Walsh has posted over her last six contests.

Corona del Sol's victory bumped their record up to 34-6. As for Hamilton, they moved to 28-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Coming up, Corona del Sol will take on Xavier College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
