NC GBB Academy National is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Shining Star Sports Academy, who was ranked second in their home state at the time (NC GBB Academy National was ranked 17th). NC GBB Academy National lost 83-60 to Shining Star Sports Academy on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Green Run ended up a good deal behind Grassfield on Saturday and lost 46-32.

Green Run has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for NC GBB Academy National, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
