Basketball Recap: Hughesville Takes a Loss

Hughesville lost against South Williamsport back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hughesville Spartans took a 76-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Williamsport Mountaineers. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 622nd, while the Mountaineers are ranked 306th).

Hughesville's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for South Williamsport, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Hughesville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-29 defeat against Warrior Run on the 15th. South Williamsport has also already played their next contest, a 65-37 victory against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech on the 14th.
