Soccer Game Preview: Leonard vs. Wellington

Leonard hasn't had much luck against Wellington recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lancers will face off against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Leonard is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Santaluces. Leonard haven't had any issues with Santaluces recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Wellington kept a clean sheet against West Boca Raton on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulls 1-0. That's two games straight that Wellington have won by just one goal.

Leonard now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Wellington, their win bumped their record up to 11-2-1.

Leonard suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Wellington in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
