Baseball Recap: Penfield Patriots vs. Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets
Penfield had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 4-5 to make it five. They fell just short of the Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets by a score of 4-3. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Royal Comets earlier this season, when they won 8-7.
Penfield got a good showing from Blake Drews, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Nathan Scozzaro made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
