Dayton Clay posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for Manzano: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 8-11 otherwise.

Clay's effort led Manzano over Capital and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
