Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Takes a Loss

Evergreen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Holy Family Tigers, falling 3-0. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-8, 25-19.

Caroline Staff was nothing short of spectacular for Holy Family: she had nine digs and five aces. What's more, Staff posted five assists, the most she's had over her last six matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Fisher, who had five digs and two aces.

Evergreen's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Holy Family, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14.

Coincidentally, Evergreen and Holy Family will both be playing The Classical Academy the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Titans at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
