Trenton waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Taylor Griffins a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Trojans have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Trenton got a great performance from Joel Mator as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Mator has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trenton saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Curry, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most runs Curry has posted since back in April of 2024. Lukas Totten also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Trenton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor only posted an OBP of .167.

Trenton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Taylor, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
