Softball Recap: Alton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cahokia on Monday, Alton came back down to earth. The Redbirds came up short against the Belleville East Lancers on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The Redbirds haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Alton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Belleville East, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Alton has already played their next match, a 13-2 loss against O'Fallon on the 1st. As for Belleville East, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-0 win against East St. Louis on the 1st.
