Basketball Recap: Cedar Hill Gets the Win

Cedar Hill saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 49-37 win over the Iowa Colony Pioneers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tatum Singleton, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 17 rebounds. Singleton continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Payton Watson was another key player, going 6-for-13 to rack up 13 points.

Cedar Hill's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Iowa Colony, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Cedar Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-29 loss against North Crowley on the 15th. As for Iowa Colony, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-34 defeat against La Vega on the 15th.
