South Panola came tearing into Friday's matchup with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Grenada Chargers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Tigers' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four contests.

Kailey McKinney was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleigh Cobb, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

South Panola was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .480 or higher in three consecutive games.

South Panola's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Grenada, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. South Panola will face off against rival Lake Cormorant at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Grenada is set to challenge their familiar foe Saltillo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
