Recap: Oak Hill Rams vs. Hicks Pirates
On Friday, the Oak Hill Rams faced the Hicks Pirates in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Oak Hill sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-59 victory over Hicks. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Krystina Greene was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Alexis Dyer was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Oak Hill's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 23-13. As for Hicks, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 27-4.
Oak Hill will head out on the road to take on Reeves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Reeves is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Hicks, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. Elizabeth is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
