Preview: Southeast Golden Buffalo vs. North RedHawks

Southeast is 10-0 against the RedHawks since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Southeast Golden Buffalo will be playing at home against the North RedHawks at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Southeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, Southeast took their game at home with ease, bagging a 49-9 win over the Pioneers. The win made it back-to-back wins for Southeast.

Southeast's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leela Jones, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Webb, who scored 17 points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, North's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 63-20 defeat at the hands of Kapaun Mt. Carmel. While losing is never fun, North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Crusaders are ranked 139th).

Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for North, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Southeast strolled past the RedHawks in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 58-41. Does Southeast have another victory up their sleeve, or will the RedHawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
