Volleyball Game Preview: Independence 76ers vs. Piedmont Hills Pirates

The Independence 76ers are taking a road trip to face off against the Piedmont Hills Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Independence came up short against Del Mar and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Leigh, falling 3-0.

While Piedmont Hills was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-23.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Piedmont Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Independence couldn't quite get it done against Piedmont Hills when the teams last played back in March as they fell 3-1. Can the 76ers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
