Soccer Game Preview: South Point vs. Ironton

South Point has gone a perfect 3-0 against Ironton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Pointers will welcome the Fighting Tigers at 5:00 p.m. South Point will be strutting in after a win while Ironton will be coming in after a defeat.

South Point is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Rock Hill get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory last Tuesday. Israel Schneider was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Ironton's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 3-0 to Fairland.

South Point has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four contests. As for Ironton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-2.

South Point was able to grind out a solid victory over Ironton in their previous meeting back in August, winning 2-0. Will the Pointers repeat their success, or do the Fighting Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
