Soccer Game Preview: Northeastern vs. Currituck County

Northeastern hasn't had much luck against Currituck County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will welcome the Knights at 4:15 p.m.

Northeastern is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Camden County on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to the Bruins.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Currituck County made sure to put some goals up on the board against Holmes on Wednesday. They blew past the Aces 8-2. Considering Currituck County have won six games by more than four goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Currituck County, the win got them back to even at 7-7-2.

Northeastern might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Currituck County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
