Basketball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-27 loss at the hands of the Keokuk Chiefs. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Chiefs are ranked 56th).

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Keokuk, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.

Fairfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 40-35 victory against Mt. Pleasant on the 4th. Keokuk has also already played their next contest, a 69-28 win against Central Lee on the 1st.
