Basketball Recap: Sulphur Takes a Loss

Sulphur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pauls Valley Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 34-27 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Sulphur's record is now 1-7. As for Pauls Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Sulphur wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-23 loss against Silo on the 14th. Pauls Valley has also already played their next contest, a 76-32 defeat against Purcell on the 14th.
