Basketball Game Preview: Erasmus Hall Dutchmen vs. Boys & Girls Kangaroos

The Erasmus Hall Dutchmen will head out on the road to challenge the Boys & Girls Kangaroos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Erasmus Hall and seven for Boys & Girls.

Last Saturday, Erasmus Hall was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-50 to Lincoln. While losing is never fun, the Dutchmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while the Railsplitters are ranked 216th).

Meanwhile, Boys & Girls scored the most points they've had this season last Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a blow against Wagner, falling 97-68. That's two games in a row now that the Kangaroos have lost by exactly 29 points.

Erasmus Hall's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Boys & Girls, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Erasmus Hall didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Boys & Girls in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 60-55 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Erasmus Hall since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
