Soccer Game Preview: Woodlawn vs. Tarrant

The Woodlawn Colonels are taking a road trip to square off against the Tarrant Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodlawn's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Woodlawn fell victim to McAdory and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, while Tarrant scored more goals than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. Neither they nor Shelby County could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Tarrant as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

They hit Shelby County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jeidy Romero, Linzy Ramirez, and Estafany Romero.

Tarrant's draw makes their record 1-17-1 this season. As for Woodlawn, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1.
