Basketball Recap: Cove Comes Up Short

Cove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 49-14 to Prairie City/Burnt River, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Leopards were not able to make up for their loss to Prairie City/Burnt River from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Cove's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Prairie City/Burnt River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cove will take on Harper at 3:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026. As for Prairie City/Burnt River, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Grant Union at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
