Softball Recap: Gilbert Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Gilbert finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to the Queen Creek Bulldogs. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Gilbert's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Queen Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

While Gilbert had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
