Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Teddies vs. Washburn Millers

The Roosevelt Teddies will take on the Washburn Millers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-25, which was the final score in Roosevelt's tilt against Camden on Tuesday.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Olive Maly, who posted seven points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Even though they lost, Roosevelt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Washburn strolled past Minneapolis South with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 46-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Millers.

The win got Washburn back to even at 6-6. As for Roosevelt, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-4.

Roosevelt strolled past Washburn in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 62-47. Will Roosevelt repeat their success, or does Washburn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
