McKinney North extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Malia McNeal. The Bulldogs walked away with a 2-0 win over the John Paul II Cardinals on Friday for which the team can thank McNeal, who had 17 assists and four digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.
McKinney North not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept John Paul II between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16.
John Paul II's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucy Schwabauer, who had 18 assists and three digs.
