Softball Game Preview: Pelham Pythons vs. Campbell

The Pelham Pythons are taking a road trip to challenge Campbell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither Pelham nor Campbell posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Pelham lost 13-2 to Oyster River on Wednesday. The Pythons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pelham saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caileigh Aguiar, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Campbell came up short against Oyster River on Tuesday, falling 14-2. Campbell hasn't had much luck with Oyster River recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Pelham, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Pelham suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to Campbell when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Pythons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
