Basketball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 76-47 loss at the hands of the Pleasant Valley Spartans. The River Kings lost against the Spartans in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 87-32 score last time.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pleasant Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will be home for the holidays to greet Central DeWitt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pleasant Valley, they will welcome Muscatine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Pleasant Valley has won 12 straight at home dating back to last season, while Muscatine won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
