Jackson South Side came tearing into Saturday's game with 16 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.4 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Hardin County Tigers, posting a 59-23 victory. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Tigers are ranked 186th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jackson South Side got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaidynn Askins out in front who went 6-for-10 en route to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Askins is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last 18 games she's played. Aydison Dilworth was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points and eight boards.

Jackson South Side smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 17 consecutive matchups.

Jackson South Side's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Hardin County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-15.
