Mamou proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Merryville Panthers 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Demons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Mamou pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Merryville, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-1.

Coming up, Mamou will square off against Church Point at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Church Point knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Mamou likes a good challenge. As for Merryville, they will host Singer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
