Basketball Game Preview: Schenectady Patriots vs. Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks

The Schenectady Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Schenectady is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Schenectady didn't have quite enough to beat Averill Park and fell 49-47. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while the Warriors are ranked 138th).

Meanwhile, Saratoga Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-50 heartbreaker at the hands of Guilderland.

Schenectady's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Saratoga Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Schenectady might still be hurting after the 82-58 defeat they got from Saratoga Springs in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Schenectady was down 47-20.
