Softball Recap: Northwest's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Northwest came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Oak Hill Oaks an 11-0 shutout. This was payback for the Mohawks, who suffered a 15-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Annika Carpenter made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Carpenter was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Northwest got a big performance out of Lauren Copp, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3. Joshline Sanford was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Northwest pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
