Basketball Recap: Paradise Honors Drops Highest Score of Season Against Goldwater

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paradise Honors). They claimed a resounding 81-15 win over the Goldwater Bulldogs. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Paradise Honors to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lizzy Guincho, who went 8 for 14 en route to 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Guincho has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Morgan Van Dyke, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight steals and five boards.

Paradise Honors smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

Paradise Honors pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.8 points per game. As for Goldwater, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Paradise Honors didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-23 win against Greenway on the 23rd. As for Goldwater, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 45-30 defeat against Moon Valley on the 23rd.
