Baseball Recap: Houghton Takes a Loss

Houghton fell victim to Jeffers and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jets. The Gremlins have struggled against the Jets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Houghton's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Jeffers, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Houghton has already played their next contest, an 11-3 defeat against Kingsford on the 19th. As for Jeffers, they will head out to face off against Lake Linden-Hubbell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Jets are facing the Lakes at the right time seeing as the Lakes are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
