Soccer Recap: Fox Comes Up Short

Fox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clayton Greyhounds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Fox of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Fox's loss dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Clayton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8-1 record this season.

Fox will host Parkway West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clayton, they will venture away from home to take on Kirkwood at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Kirkwood's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
