Baseball Recap: Moberly Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Moberly won against Chillicothe last Monday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Spartans skirted past the Fulton Hornets 4-3. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Moberly's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Fulton, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Moberly and Fulton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Spartans (ranked 25th) will meet Osage (ranked 354th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fulton will challenge Kirksville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (26 vs. 131).
