Football Game Preview: Shawnee Wolves vs. Booker T. Washington Hornets

Shawnee hasn't had much luck against Booker T. Washington recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wolves will host the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Shawnee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 62-0 win over East Central. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won six in a row.

Shawnee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tate McClendon out in front who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Travion Barber Ii, who rushed for 56 yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington humbled Durant with a 37-7 victory.

The victory got Shawnee back to even at 2-2. As for Booker T. Washington, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Shawnee was taken down by Booker T. Washington 35-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wolves were down 21-0.
