Basketball Recap: Nuiqsut Trapper Takes a Loss

Nuiqsut Trapper lost against Nunamiut back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Nuiqsut Trapper Trappers were dealt an 84-42 defeat at the hands of the Nunamiut Amaguq. The Trappers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nunamiut's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justus Mulcahy led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 14 steals. Mulcahy is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alexander Galloso, who dropped a triple-double on 21 points, ten boards, and ten steals.

Nuiqsut Trapper's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Nunamiut, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Nuiqsut Trapper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Nunamiut has already played their next contest (against Alak), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
